Frankfurt, Germany – Eltima Software has just released Elmedia Player for tvOS – free player for Apple TV – version 1.0.1. Elmedia Player ensures easy access to videos, music, and images stored on your computer directly on Apple TV without any additional conversion. Once your computer is connected to Apple TV through WiFi, you can access your media files on big screen. The number of supported file types is huge and even includes uncommon ones.

With this free player one can watch videos, play music, view images directly from server with the possibility to enhance video image quality (deblocking filter and deinterlacing) and adjust the speed of playback. Both built-in and external subtitles support is broad-spectrum: adjust color, size, font, text encoding and language; internal audio tracks are supported as well with the possibility to set the preferred language of audio track. One can view photos on Apple TV as a slideshow or randomly, set the duration for photos, and select the transition effect. Both light and dark color styles of Apple TV are supported.

Some of Elmedia Player highlights are the ability to play media directly in player’s built-in browser window and add new files to the library to watch later. One can use files from macOS, Windows, and Linux computers via file sharing (SMB only). Elmedia organizes files in the library within its three categories (Videos, Music, Photos), including those items shared from other computers and file servers.
