Through the Apple, Verizon Wireless, Best Buy and Walmart stores, the sales of the much awaited Verizon iPhone has begun today.
Among the signal issues, Verizon managed to post a record breaking sales for the company. It has confirmed it, but refused to declare the numbers. Analysts estimated that It should be above 5,00,000 units. According to a report from Yankee Group, a research firm, about 1.9 million of AT&T iPhone subscribers would switch to Verizon. But this is just a 2 percent of 93 million AT&T users.
Last week, in an ad, AT&T hinted at the limitations of Verizon phones. While answer this, Brenda Raney, a spokeswoman for Verizon Wireless said, “We’re very comfortable with our network technology. The ability to simultaneously use voice and data might matter to some people, but the majority of customers would prefer to be able to make a phone call”. This is seen as an attack on AT&T, which makes subscribers to suffer from drop calls.
