Apple investors voted down a proposal which demands the company to reveal the Steve jobs succession plan.
Apple’s annual gathering of investors was held at Wednesday, where the Laborers’ International Union of North America put forward a proposal demanding the company to disclose its post – jobs succession plans. It was a modest proposal and didn’t ask for exact names. It just wanted to outline a plan.
Jennifer O’Dell, assistant director of corporate affairs for the union, that represents the construction industry said, “We hope Steve Jobs runs this company forever, but is that realistic? We know that the company is thinking about it, so they should just disclose it to shareholders”.
But the shareholders were not keen in knowing these details and voted down this proposal. The union is planning to make similar proposals in the future. Officially, Apple has not yet responded.
