I have been planning to move from my current studio to a nice and comfy 2 bedroom apartment for a while now and I am going to narrow down my options using only MyApartmentMap iPhone app and not the web version. For privacy reasons, I will not be using my real addresses nor will the screenshots carry details of the city and I will be using Pasadena, California instead.

As soon as you open the app, its down to business. No fancy gimmicks, no graphic reels, no nothing, you get a search box asking where you are looking for an apartment. You type in your city and hit search. Voila, you are presented with a neat list of apartment and studios to browse through.

The app comes with a filter option to narrow down your search by price, number of rooms etc., a map with locations of the different listings, some awesome data like the average rent for the city your searching for, average rents in the nearby locations and more.

Once you select a listing your presented with in-depth details of your selection with information from the owners, a map, property description, images, amenities available, floor plans and more.

From then on, you can contact the ones you need additional details and complete your hunt.

It states that his pay package is worth $378 million, while his salary and performance bonus stands at $900,000 each. He also receives $16,520 from the company as contributions to a retirement.

According to recent reports, the Cupertino tech giant has been working on iPhones and iPads that can automatically customize applications, settings and preferences, once a user touches the device. Last week, Apple applied to the US patent office to register this facial recognition software. Experts predict that this technology could cause password logins to become a thing of the past.

“Using a forward-facing camera to recognize an individual user, future iPhones and iPads from Apple could automatically customize applications, settings, and features to a user’s personal preferences once they pick up the device,” reported Apple Insider. “By recognizing the individual features on a user’s face, the system could scale the distance between someone’s eyes and their mouth.”

On the other hand, Google is also said to be working on a similar technology.

Jonathan Paul Ive is a British citizen and has been working with Apple since 1992, becoming head of industrial design in 1998. He has been awarded a KBE, short for Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. This award will be bestowed on him by the queen at a later date and will allow him to call himself Sir Jonathan.

“To be recognized with this honour is absolutely thrilling and I am both humbled and sincerely grateful,” Ive said in a statement. “I discovered at an early age that all I’ve ever wanted to do is design. Jonathan Ive received Commander of the British Empire honor in 2006 and the Knighthood is the second royal honor for him.

According to comScore’s recent report, Samsung is the top handset maker in the U.S. and posted 0.3% of growth in November 2011. This South Korean company now owns 25% of the U.S. mobile market. LG is in the third spot with 21%, while Motorola has 14% share. Apple holds the 4th place with 11.2% of the market and its growth rate of 1.4% is better than any other manufacturer.

iOS also holds the second spot in the mobile OS market. “Google Android ranked as the top smartphone platform with 46.9 percent market share, up 3.1 percentage points from the prior three-month period. Apple maintained its #2 position, growing 1.4 percentage point to 28.7 percent of the smartphone market,” said comScore in the report.
